AERO has been working closely with Australian schools and systems to learn about promising approaches for implementing evidence-based teaching practices in different school contexts. This discussion paper is the second in a series that shares insights from our work with schools in the Learning Partner project.

For all students to benefit from effective teaching, evidence-based teaching practices need to be successfully implemented. The Australian Education Research Organisation (AERO) is working closely with schools on the Learning Partner project to learn about implementation in their settings and operationalise an approach informed by implementation research. We’re committed to sharing what we learn over time.

In 2024, we published our first Insights into Implementation discussion paper sharing our early insights from the Learning Partner project. This 2025 discussion paper builds on that paper by detailing insights from the second year of our Learning Partner work.
